Becoming a Member

Becoming a member of our church is about more than joining an organization—it is a commitment to following Jesus Christ within a community of faith.
Membership begins with a simple but important question:

Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ and received his gift of salvation? If not, this is the first step, and we would be honored to walk with you as you explore that decision.

Have you been baptized?
If you have been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we recognize your baptism and will not re-baptize you. If you have not been baptized, we would
welcome the opportunity to talk with you about taking this important step.

If you are coming from another church, we are glad to receive you and, with your permission, will coordinate the transfer of your membership by sending a courtesy letter to your former
church.

What Membership Means

Membership is not primarily about receiving benefits—it is about belonging, growing, and participating in God’s work in the world.

To become a member is to:
Identify yourself with Jesus Christ
Commit to his mission
Join a community that is seeking to grow in faith together

Our church’s vision statement is:
“Fostering a Bible-based, Spirit-led community, growing in faith and serving others until Christ returns.”

A Shared Commitment

When you are ready, you will be asked to take the following membership vow:

“Will you be loyal to this church and uphold it by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness?”

This vow is not about perfection—it is about direction. It is a commitment to live a life of growing faith, supported by and shared with others.

A Word About Our Identity

We are part of the Methodist tradition. While we share the basic beliefs held by all Christians, we also hold certain convictions shaped by that tradition—especially our emphasis on grace, spiritual growth, and a life of holiness.

We invite you to learn more about these distinctives as you consider becoming a member.
